The CEO of ECM Technologies, Hans-Henk Wolters, was granted the opportunity to present at the Titanium 2014 conference in Sorrento, Italy, on May 20th, 2014.

Mr. Wolters' presentation, forming part of the Fabrication of Titanium panel session, was elaborating on the numerous benefits of using precise ECM for machining Titanium. Among the main advantages, which were the topic of the presentation, is the ability of pECM to machine metals such as Inconel and Titanium as easily as Aluminium. Due to the innovative nature, numerous material and machining benefits of pECM, the technology finds very wide cross-industry application. Precise ECM is, for instance, well known for its applications on Titanium in the biomedical industry, e.g. artificial implants, and in the Aerospace for machining accurately blades, discs, and blisks.

This 2nd annual Titanium Europe 2014 conference and exhibition was hosted by the International Titanium Association (ITA) on May 19-21st, 2014 in Sorrento, Italy. The organizers claim the event was meant as a platform for European business and technology topics discussions, as well as an excellent networking opportunity for attendees active within the global Titanium industry. Previous editions of Titanium Europe had resulted in a successful international business ventures and strategic alliances opportunities, as well as exchanging insights on recent market developments and leading-edge trends shaping the international titanium market.
